The Flow Control Group supply a complete range of HogforsValves for a wide range of applications in the energy and industrial process sectors.

The specification and selection of a valve and its operating protocols is essential to the optimum performance of any valve. The Flow Control team have the knowledge and expertise to identify the correct valve for the desired application.

The Flow Control Group can supply the following Hogfors valves and spares

Hogfors Butterfly Valves
Hogfors Ball Valves including V Port
Hogfors Control Valves
Hogfors Balancing Valves
Basis Weight Valves
Hogfors Strainers

Hogfors Ball valves offer very good shut-off capabilities. A simple quarter-turn (90°) completely opens or closes the valve. They are available in a wide range of body, seat and seal materials, suitable for a many different applications.

Ball valves also have a straight uninterrupted flow path which minimizes the pressure drop across the valve most notably in the full bore versions where the port through the ball has the same as the diameter of the pipe.

The Flow Control Group supply a range of ball valves, including flanged and 3-piece cast steel ball valves and the Högfors weld construction ball valves which are designed for applications in district heating and cooling schemes. These ball valves can be supplied with flanged, butt weld and threaded connections.

Hogfors Balancing valves are designed for on/off and control of liquid flows in heating and cooling systems. The valve is equipped with 2 test points in order to measure the pressure difference across the valve; the required flow rate can then be set by turning the lever to the correct position as indicated on a scale on the valve.

The Högfors balancing valve is supplied with a double regulating device which allows the valve to be closed but then returned to the same part open position when required.

The Hogfors Series 38500 Strainer is used in industrial and district heating pipelines for collecting dirt and impurities. Available in  PN16, PN25, PN40 (subject to size), DN 15 – 150, operating at Media Temp. -20°C +200°C. Connection to pipeline: weld ends for EN10216-2 and EN10217 steel tubes.

Hogfors Butterfly valves can be used for many applications either as open/close or simple regulating valves. We offer a range of high performance butterfly valves manufactured in Finland by Hogfors Oy. These high performance butterfly valves are manufactured with a stainless steel double offset disc which produces a high integrity seal and with the option of metal or PTFE seat will tolerate temperatures and velocities significantly in excess of that possible with rubber lined butterfly valves.

The valve bodies are available in various materials and designs suitable for a wide range of applications. All butterfly valves in our range can be supplied for manual operation, bare shaft or with pneumatic or electric actuators.

The Hogfors ball sector or ‘V ball valve’ was designed to give flow control of paper pulp. With a hard chromed ball sector and the standard stellited metal seat, the valve design is ideal for on/off and control service on difficult applications such as solids in suspension or on crystallizing media. A PTFE seat is also available when a tight shut-off is required on less abrasive duties.

The profile of the ball sector gives excellent control characteristics as the valve rotates through 90° which are intermediate between linear and equal percentage. The Högfors ball sector control valves are available in 2 different body styles, the full bore fig 455 which is supplied with flanged connections and the reduced bore fig 465 wafer pattern designs, which is installed by clamping between flanges on the pipe work
