The Flow Control Group design, manufacture and install a complete range of penstocks for a wide range of applications in the water, wastewater, civil engineering, dockyard, and industrial process sectors.

The Flow Control Group are one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of specialist flow control equipment.

We design, manufacture and install a range of products including penstocks, flap valves, stop logs, floating arms, hydrostatic valves and specialist knife gate valves.

The Group also design and manufacture a complete range of operating equipment including valve mounting kits, extension spindles, pedestals, locking devices, chainwheels and handwheels.

Penstocks are utilised in flow control and the isolation of fluids. Sectors covered include water, wastewater, sewage treatment plants, power generation, irrigation schemes and process plants.

We design penstocks for a wide variety of duties from low seating to high off-seating heads in sizes from 100mm to 5000mm square.

Flow Control Group can supply penstocks with a variety of operating equipment including direct operation by handwheel to complex control systems for electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuation.

We supply penstocks in a range of materials including Stainless Steel, Duple, Super Duplex, Cast Iron and HDPE

All Stainless Steel, Duplex and Super Duplex penstocks designed by The Flow Control Group are bespoke designed using Cad Inventor software. We utilize finite element analysis, 3D modelling and parametric designs to optimize designs and tailor product to a customer’s individual requirements.

The range of Cast Iron Penstocks are a rectangular metal faced penstock suitable for wall and thimble mounting, with on-seating heads up to 6 metres and off seating heads up to 3 metres.
