Butterfly Valves
The Flow Control Group supply a complete range of Butterfly Valves for a wide range of applications in the water, wastewater, oil and gas and industrial process sectors.
The specification and selection of a valve and its operating protocols is essential to the optimum performance of any valve. The Flow Control team have the knowledge and expertise to identify the correct valve for the desired application.
A butterfly valve is a rotary valve in which a disk-shaped seating element is rotated 90° (quarter turn) to open or close the flow passage. They are used in throttling service, particularly where large-size valves with automatic actuators are required. Butterfly valves cannot be used where a non obstructed, full opening is needed.
Manual butterfly valves are supplied either lever or gearbox operated & meet various approvals such as WRAS and Marine. Butterfly valves supplied by The Flow Control Group includes wafer type and lugged design in various body, disc and liner materials. High performance butterfly valves are also available from stock in stainless steel or carbon steel.
Butterfly valves are used in various industries such as industrial, chemical, marine, fire protection, food & beverage and water treatment.
We are able to supply Concentric butterfly valves, doubly-eccentric butterfly valves (high-performance butterfly valves or double-offset butterfly valves) – different type of materials is used for seat and disc.
We keep large stocks for prompt delivery with stainless steel discs and nitrile or neoprene seats including WRAS approved valves for the water industry. For abrasive and corrosive applications, we supply valves with polyurethane or ptfe lining and composite construction butterfly valves which combine light weight with good chemical resistance
