Gate Valves – Resilient Seated
The Flow Control Group supply a complete range of Gate Valves for a wide range of applications in the water, wastewater, oil and gas and industrial process sectors.
The specification and selection of a valve and its operating protocols is essential to the optimum performance of any valve. The Flow Control team have the knowledge and expertise to identify the correct valve for the desired application.
We can supply resilient seated gate valves for water and gas applications in sizes up to 1000mm. For water applications valves are WRAS approved. Resilient seated gate valve for use in potable water systems and buried service.
Gate valves are designed for fully open or fully closed service. They are installed in pipelines as isolating valves. We are able to supply both clockwise to close and clockwise to open operations.
Gate valves are often used when minimum pressure loss and a free bore is needed. When fully open, a typical gate valve has no obstruction in the flow path resulting in a very low pressure loss, and this design makes it possible to use a pipe-cleaning pig.
To allow the pipeline differential pressure to be balanced, lowering the torque requirement of the valve and permit one-man operation or to give continuous flow preventing stagnation we can offer valves with a by-pass configuration
